Dr. Shalem focuses on women's pelvic health: pregnancy and postpartum recovery, bladder and bowel symptoms, pelvic pain, painful intimacy, and recovery after pelvic surgery.
Her visits are one-on-one and unhurried. She explains what she is seeing in plain language, gives a home program that fits in a few minutes a day, and adjusts it as life changes. When a hands-on assessment would change the plan, she says so.

None of that needs a clinic. It needs a good clinician, a camera, and a closed door. A home program that takes a few minutes a day does more than a heroic one that never happens.
