Big Sky

Why Big Sky patients choose video.

Big Sky is a resort that turned into a town: second homes in the Yellowstone Club, Spanish Peaks and Moonlight Basin, lift operators and cooks renting in the Meadow, and more families with kids at Lone Peak High School every year. Highway 191 through Gallatin Canyon is the only road to Bozeman, and wrecks and storms sometimes close it. Days are built around skiing in winter and hiking and biking in summer. Knee and shoulder injuries, leaking while skiing and postpartum recovery are common reasons people on the mountain book.

One-on-one with Dr. Elana Shalem, PT, DPT (CAPP-OB), licensed in Montana: a 60-minute evaluation, then 45-minute follow-ups.

Questions

Questions from Big Sky

Can owners at the Yellowstone Club or Spanish Peaks keep up visits while in residence?

Yes, while they are physically in Montana at the time of each visit. Visits are one-on-one from any private room, and the plan follows the weeks in residence, with a home program for the time away.

Does a closure on Highway 191 affect visits?

No. Visits are by video, so a wreck in the canyon or a snowstorm does not change the appointment. A phone or laptop with a camera and a private room are all that is needed.

How soon can I be seen?

Usually within a week. Early morning, evening and weekend video visits are available.
