Corvallis and Philomath
Why Corvallis and Philomath patients choose video.
Corvallis is a bike-and-backpack college town: Oregon State's campus, the riverfront downtown, trail runs on Bald Hill and in McDonald Forest, and Marys Peak on the skyline west of Philomath. Philomath keeps a timber-and-rodeo streak and sits on Highway 20 toward the coast. Pregnancy, new parenthood and long days in labs and offices fill a lot of calendars. Postpartum recovery, pregnancy pain, leaking with running and painful intercourse are common reasons people here book.
One-on-one with Dr. Elana Shalem, PT, DPT (CAPP-OB), licensed in Oregon: a 60-minute evaluation, then 45-minute follow-ups.

Questions
Questions from Corvallis and Philomath
Can an Oregon State student keep visits going over summer break?
Only while in Oregon. The patient has to be physically in the state at the time of each visit, so visits pause during time away and pick up again on return.
Is pain with sex something a video visit can address?
Yes. Pain with intercourse is a common reason to book. Visits are private and one-on-one, with education, relaxation and graded exercises done at home. An internal exam is not possible by video; if a hands-on assessment would change the plan, Dr. Shalem says so.
How soon can I be seen?
Usually within a week. Early morning, evening and weekend video visits are available.
